We offer a complete repair and restoration service for damaged plasterwork. No matter what the extent of the damage, we can return it to its former glory.
A common problem often encountered on restoration projects is cornices which have been swamped by decades of over-painting.In many cases, beneath the layers of distemper paint there are wonderful enriched friezes as sharp as the day they were made. The paint is usualy lifted using a careful steaming process although in some cases a chemical compound will be required (see example on right). Plain run cornices can be restored in the same manner and in either case the work can be done in-situ.
Matching existing moulding is no problem, whether to repair and restore or where the extension of an existing building or additional building is carried out and the architectural style needs to be maintained.
